London is the UK office of Cargill’s Ocean Transportation business, based for almost 50 years at the core of world shipping.
Our position in the centre of the London shipping community allows us to forge close relationships with the Baltic Exchange and local shipping market. Using these connections we cover a range of functions from ascertaining market information, through fixing vessels to trouble shooting should problems occur.
With more than 1100 owned vessels controlled from London, our office has developed a close and long trusted relationship with owners, particularly in the Greek community. Such trust and loyalty has resulted in increased and continuing repeat business and the opportunities to develop imaginative ideas on all aspects of shipping and trading.
Through monitoring, sourcing and screening high quality tonnage for our Customers their logistical freight risk is further managed and reduced, resulting in timely and safe transportation of their produce.
Our prime location in the centre of the City plays a pivotal and important role in sourcing young, motivated shipping recruits. This is key in our continued focus to improving the services that we provide to our customers and suppliers.
